Over a century ago in 1880, David Shanahan, a young blacksmith, started
building horse-drawn buggies and sleighs in Penetanguishene, Ontario.
This was the beginning of the Shanahan Carriage Co. Ltd.
In 1965, Paddy Shanahan accepted a Ford franchise and purchased several
acres of open land in Agincourt. Today, only
one Ford dealer in Toronto
has been in business longer than Shanahan Ford. In 1980, Shanahan acquired a
Ford dealership in Newmarket
and expanded into that town.
Many of the more than 60 employees of Shanahan Ford have long and
distinguished records of service. Our employees are judged not only for their
skills, but they must also be deemed to be good citizens, ethical and loyal to
the company and its customers.
